How billing works
- What's a request?
- A request is a share of the AI work behind your tools. How many a job uses depends on how much work it is — hiding a panel takes one, a tool that has to study a complicated page takes a few.
- What do requests pay for?
- Building a tool, and changing one. Simple tools then run on their own, locally, as often as you like, without using a request. AI-powered tools use requests each time they run, because each run asks the AI to summarize, rewrite, classify, extract or generate.
- When aren't you charged?
- If a build produces nothing that can be installed, the requests are given back. If an AI tool's call fails, the run isn't charged.
- Yearly buys a price, not a bigger pool
- Your allowance is the same every month. Paying yearly gets you a lower price, not a larger pool.
